A F-35C of US Navy crashed near NAval Air Station Lemoore on 30 July 2025. Exact details of the F-35 crash remains unknown but according to the initial reports, the aircraft engulfed in flames after making an emergency landing. The pilot ejected successfully but the F-35 was destroyed in the accident. The crashed F-35 was assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-125, also known as Rough Raiders.
Lemoore Naval Air Station is the newest and largest air base and hosts US Navy’s West Coat Fighter and Attack Squadrons. F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and F-35C Lightening || of various Carrier Air Wings of US Navy are stationed which make the Lemoore NAS one of the most advanced bases in the region.
