On Friday, January 31, 2025, a medevac (Medical Evacuation) plane crashed soon after take off from Philadelphia airport. The medical aircraft was carrying a child patient and 5 other passengers.

The passengers included 4 crew members, a child patient and patient’s mother.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, a tragic incident occurred at Washington’s  Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport when an American Airlines official website CRJ-701ER collided with an US Army UH-60 Black hawk helicopter during landing.

The regional jet took off from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport official website, Kansas with 60 passengers and 4 crew members and was on final approach when collided with US Army UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter.

The US Army Black hawk helicopter with callsign PAT25 (Priority Air Transport) had departed Fort Belvoir for a training flight with 3 US military personnel onboard.

Both aircraft collided midair and fell into the Potomac river. The CRJ-701ER split into half and the black hawk helicopter fell in to the river upside down.

All 67 passengers on board (64 on the airliner, 3 on the helicopter) died in the accident making it the deadliest aviation accident since American Airlines flight 587.

All take offs and landings were halted at  following the midair collision.
