IAF HAL Tejas Mk 1 crashed at Dubai Airshow 2025

An Indian Air Force Tejas MK1 fighter jet crashed at Dubai Air Show 2025 on November 21, 2025. The aircraft was performing aerial display when it nose dived and impacted the ground. The pilot was not able to eject due to low level flight and sudden loss of altitude during the flight.  The Indian Air Force has confirmed the loss of aircraft and the pilot in the tragic crash.

Videos on the social media show the aircraft nose diving and impacting the ground.

The crash marks the first ever fighter jet crash at Dubai Airshow and second loss of Tejas fighter jet.

The Tejas is a 4.5 generation, delta wing fighter aircraft of Indian Air Force. The aircraft is manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and is powered by a single General Electric 404 turbo fan engine.

The IAF Hal Tejas is a delta wing, 4.5 generation fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force. The Mark 1 (Mk1) is an upgraded version with improved avionics and electronic warfare suits. The MK1 is capable of carrying smart munitions. Tejas is also capable of carrying different smart munitions and long range Air to Air Missiles (AAM) for BVR (Beyond Visual Range) combat.
